Presents The Ants Who Wanted To Fly
Two ants want to fly very badly, so they wait for an egg to hatch, thinking it will be a bird they can hitch a ride on. They are disappointed when they find a caterpillar has hatched out of the egg, but they keep waiting and watching to figure out how to fly. Follow the ants as they discover the joy of the natural world!
hailey barkow: harpist
Hailey is 14 years old and started playing the harp 6 years ago. It all started when she was looking around a music store with her grandma who said, "wouldn't it be beautiful to wake up to the sound of a harp in the morning!" She has taken weekly lessons since starting her harp journey. Last year she also started playing in her school's band. It would be safe to say there aren't many traditional bands that have a harp!
In addition to being a harpist, Hailey is a gifted student and plays volleyball and basketball. She has a big place in her heart for all dogs, especially Dachshunds.
Kathy & steven light
Before moving to the twin cities in 2023 Steven and Kathy Light enjoyed rich and active musical lives in Vermont. Since the move they have found the Saint Louis Park Community Band, which Steven now conducts and Kathy plays clarinet. They have begun to explore gamelan playing opportunities and recorder groups and continue to perform as a duo.
