Trail of Small Wonders

The Trail of Small Wonders is inhabited by fairies, elves, gnomes, and perhaps a few trolls. As you walk along the path, look carefully and you will find where they have chosen to live. The wee folk build their homes in tree hollows and roots, or from materials found in their habitat, such as branches, stones and moss.
This public art installation includes around 60 handmade fairy houses and abodes, made by local artists and community members of all ages. The trail is paved and ADA accessible, and begins just around the north side of the interpretive center. The creations will remain on display at the Westwood Hills Nature Center from June 29th through July 16th, free and open to all, no appointment necessary.
